The next community Lenten service sponsored by Union County Ministerial Alliance will be 5 p.m. Sunday at Life Church Assembly of God, 417 Wyoming Ave. The Rev. Karen Norton, pastor at the church, will lead worship, and the Rev. Ken Halbur, priest at Holy Spirit and St. Edward’s Catholic churches, will bring the message on the hands of Jesus to help and heal.
Last Sunday’s service at Jerusalem United Methodist had an unofficial attendance of 71. The Rev. Deloris Doench spoke on the feet of Jesus as part of this year’s theme of “The Body of Christ.” A collection was received to help with Alliance outreach into the community, and there was a time of fellowship and refreshments.
