Sabrina Marie Buckwald of Lincoln, Neb., and Nathan Mark Waltz of Eagle, Neb., were married June 7 at Hope Community Church in Lincoln.
The bride is the daughter of Lorraine Buckwald and Thomas Buckwald, both of Lincoln. The groom is the son of Brad and Ronda Waltz of Creston.
The Rev. Terry Maassen of Lincoln officiated the 4 p.m. ceremony. Scott Martin of Lincoln played guitar.
The bride surprised the groom by singing her rendition of “Look At Me” by Carrie Underwood as she walked down the aisle.
Matron of honor was Jackie Cech of Denton, Neb. Bridesmaids were Kendall Nicholson and Katie Richard, both of Lincoln.
Flower girl was Marissa Ford of Winterset, cousin of the groom.
The bride wore a strapless organza ball gown with ruffled skirt and sweetheart neckline. The dress also had a begonia-pink sash under the bust that matched the bridesmaids’ dresses.
The bridesmaids wore strapless, tea-length begonia-pink dresses with sweetheart neckline.
The bride and bridesmaids carried hot pink and white rose bouquets.
Best man was Daniel Burris of Lincoln. Groomsmen were Matthew Denton of Thayer and Jacob Jackson of Stanton.
Ringbearer was Skylar Buckwald, brother of the bride.
Ushers were Lucas Waltz and Matthew Waltz, brothers of the groom, both of Creston, Mikey Crigger of Greenfield and Jason Borrall of Des Moines.
Groom, groomsmen and ushers wore black tuxedos with real tree camouflage vests and ties.
The groom, groomsmen and ushers wore white roses pinned to their lapels.
Mothers, grandmothers and female hostesses wore pink corsages. Fathers, grandfathers and male hosts wore white roses on their lapels.
Candlelighter was Dawn Bice of Lincoln. Guest book attendant was Payton Cech of Denton, Neb. Stacey and Kevin Woodward of Allen, Neb., were in charge of gifts.
A reception was held after the ceremony at Havelock Social Hall in Lincoln, hosted by Stacey and Kevin Woodward of Allen, Neb., aunt and uncle of the bride, and Cindy and Dan Woods of Orient, aunt and uncle of the groom.
Cake cutters were Nicci Borrall of Des Moines and Gabrielle McKinley of Stanton.
Honored guests were Jimmie and Shirley Woodward of Allen, grandparents of the bride, and James and Sondra Waltz of Norwalk, grandparents of the groom and Sean Buckwald of Lincoln, brother of the bride.
The bride is a 2009 graduate of Lincoln Southwest High School. She graduated from University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 2013 with a degree in political science and is currently employed as bailiff and records clerk at Lancaster County Courthouse in Lincoln.
The groom is a 2007 graduate of Creston High School. He earned a carpentry diploma in 2007, and in 2009 he graduated from Southwestern Community College with a degree in structural steel drafting and engineering. He is currently employed as structural steel detailer and drafter at National Detail in Lincoln.
The couple will honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico, and reside in Eagle.
