Marlene K. Fraser Salina, Kan.

Marlene K. Fraser, 74, Salina, Kansas, died Monday, February 17, 2014. She was born September 12, 1939 in Creston, Iowa to Raymond and Dorothy (Britten) Victor. In 1972, she moved to Salina,Kansas where she was a member of St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church. She was a homemaker, and in later years, worked in hospitality.

Marlene was preceded in death by her father and her husband, Russell Fraser. She is survived by two sons, Dirk A. (Traci) Speed and Doug (Juli) Speed, all of Salina; her mother, Dorothy Victor of Johnston, Iowa; a brother, Ron (Ann) Victor of Urbandale, Iowa and a sister, Janet Embree, of Clive, Iowa; and a grandson, Nathan Speed, of Salina.

There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2014 in the chapel at the Bishop Drumm Retirement Center, 5837 Winwood Drive, Johnston, Iowa 50131. Following the service, there will be an informal gathering with the family. Inurnment will be in the columbarium at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Salina, Kansas. The family suggests memorials to St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church or Sacred Heart High School, Salina, in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. 8th, Salina, Kansas 67401.
