Wilda ‘Teeny’ Alery Liberty

Wilda “Teeny” Alery, 73 of Liberty died Feb. 26, 2013, at her home.

Services were 10 a.m. Monday, March 4, at Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., Osceola. The Rev. Chuck DeVos officiated. Interment of her cremains will be in Liberty Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to her family.

Wilda “Teeny” Alery, daughter of Naomi (Sales) and Thomas C. Gilliam, was born Jan. 8, 1940, in Des Moines.

On July 3, 1956, Teeny married Everett O. Alery in Des Moines.

She has spent her life in Clarke County.

Teeny was a housewife.

She attended LifePoint Assembly of God Church in Osceola.

Teeny is survived by her husband Everett Alery of Liberty; daughter Vicki (Tony) Simmerman of Murray; daughter-in-law Cathy Alery of Patterson; grandchildren, Michael Carl (Emily) Alery of Patterson, Tyler (Sabrina) Alery of St. Charles, Dustin (Stephanie) Brown of Garwin, Ryan Simmerman of Murray and Carly Everett of Wyoming; nine great-grandchildren; brother Jack (Phyllis) Gilliam of Des Moines; twin sister Wanda (Squire) Hollingsworth of Tennessee; sisters, Phyllis (Dick) Witt of Des Moines, Linda (Jim) Thompson of Rathburn, Nancy (Harold) Oldes of Mitchellville and Patty (Nels) Olson of Chicago, Ill., as well as other relatives and many friends.

Teeny was preceded in death by her parents; son Michael Carl Alery; daughter Jacki Alery-Everett; brother Tommy Gilliam and sister Joyce Gilliam.
