Robert A. Decklever Waukee

Robert A. Decklever, 66, of Waukee died Feb. 19, 2013, at Kavanagh House in Des Moines.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waukee. Burial will be in Saint Peter Cemetery in Toeterville. Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel, 6337 Hickman Road, Des Moines, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 900 Warrior Lane, PO Box 276, Waukee, IA 50263. Robert A. Decklever, son of Albion and Dorothy Decklever, was born Dec. 25, 1946, in Osage.

Bob was a 1965 graduate of Creston High School and graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in 1969.

On Jan. 29, 1966, Robert married Dee Anne Smith in Creston.

Bob started teaching and coaching in Red Oak before opening a furniture store in Creston. He joined his brother Bill’s company, Marketing Force, in Chicago in 1985 and transferred to the headquarters in Rochester Hills, Mich., in 1988.

Bob returned to Iowa in 2007 and bought a home in Waukee.

He worked as a driver for Majestic Limousines and at Laser Car Wash.

Bob is survived by his children, Dana Dunphy of Scottsdale, Ariz., Heather Brezinski of San Antonio, Texas, Lincoln of Des Moines and Matthew (Cecily) of West Des Moines; seven grandchildren; brother Bill (Janet) of Davenport and sister Debra Tracy (Brian) of Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
