Peggy Templeton, 65, of Corning died Feb. 15, 2013, at her home in Corning.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Pearson Family Funeral Service, 701 Seventh St., Corning. Larry Johnson will officiate. Open visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today with family present 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family in Peggy's name. Peggy Rae Templeton, daughter of Edna Mae (Weeks) and Kenneth “Ray” Keefe, was born Jan. 15, 1948, in Des Moines.

Peggy attended Corning High School and graduated in 1966. She continued her education at Creston Community College.

On Jan. 25, 1969, Peggy married Mick Templeton at Corning Christian Church.

Peggy worked for the NFO in Corning until her son Troy was born.

Peggy then became a homemaker until Feb. 1, 1976, when Peggy and Mick established Templeton Appliance in Corning.

Peggy was a member of International Arabian Horse Association, Corning Christian Church, Red Hat Society and Adams County Historical Society.

Peggy is survived by her husband Mick Templeton of Corning; son Troy Templeton of Gladstone, Mo.; daughter Tara Templeton-Viera of Gladstone, Mo.; mother and stepfather, Edna and Jerry Walker of Corning; mother-in-law Darleen Templeton of Corning; brother David (Linda) Keefe of Cedar Rapids; sister Patti (Clif) Morrison of Scott City, Kan., and several nieces, nephews, numerous cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Peggy was preceded in death by her father in 1971 and father-in-law Donald Templeton in 1983.
