Tina Johnson-Comly, 40, of Murray died Dec. 27, 2012, at home after a long illness with cancer.
As her wish, her body has been cremated. There was a gathering for family and friends 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, at Murray Community Center. Interment will be in Camby Cemetery near Fontanelle at a later date. Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., Osceola, was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be directed to her family to be decided at a later time.
Tina (DeGeest) Johnson-Comly, daughter of Jane Rosetta (Stouwie) and Raymond DeGeest, was born June 9, 1972, in Oskaloosa.
Tina graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1990.
On Sept. 18, 2010, Tina married Randall Lee Comly in Murray.
Tina worked at Taco Johns in Oskaloosa for many years before moving to southwest Iowa. Lastly, she worked at Osceola Animal Shelter until she could no longer work because of her health.
Tina is survived by her husband Randy; daughter Kenzie Johnson; son Kegan Johnson; stepdaughter Amanda Comly; stepson Joey Reynolds; stepgrandchildren, Alyssa, Katie and Emma; brothers, Paul DeGeest, Justin Fairchild and Michael (Jolinda) Fairchild; sisters, Pam (Jerry) Mendenhall and Tonja (Kevin) Besco; and several nieces and nephews.
Tina was preceeded in death by her parents and sister Peggy (DeGeest) Fairchild.
