Glenn Hardisty, 87, of Prescott died Aug. 2, 2012, at Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Pearson Family Funeral Service of Corning. Open visitation will be 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday with family present 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. After the service, Glenn will be cremated and inurnment will be 9 a.m. Thursday at Oakland Cemetery at Quincy in Adams County. Glenn Louis Hardisty, son of Maggie Mae (Burgett) and Edward Bryan Hardisty, was born Sept. 17, 1924, in Quincy Township near Carbon in Adams County.

On Jan. 1, 1947, Glenn married Anna Ruth Cooley.

Glenn farmed both livestock and row crop since the age of 15. He purchased the first farm in Carl Township and actively farmed until 2012. Glenn lived all but two years in Adams County.

Glenn is survived by his wife Anna Ruth Hardisty of Prescott; children, Eugene “Gene” Hardisty of Bondurant, Linda Jane (Steve) Page of Prescott, Judy (Bruce) Jones of Creston, Earl (Sharan) Hardisty of Sac City, Irene Hardisty (husband Jim Bishop) of Des Moines, Wayne (Marlene) Hardisty of Corning, Joyce (Wayne) Lee of Corning and Lyle (April) Hardisty of Pearland, Texas; 30 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Wilma Peterson of Corning, Wanda (Wayne) Victor of Prescott and Donna Adams of Omaha, Neb.; sisters-in-law, Lois Hardisty of Afton and Mary Lou Cooley-Hechmer of Corning; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; brother Russell Hardisty; brothers-in-law, Clark Peterson, Dean Adams, LeRoy Blazek, Gene Cooley, Jesse Bowen and George Newman; sister-in-law Emma (Cooley) Bowen Newman; daughter-in-law Joyce (Sackett-Newton) Hardisty; great-grandchildren, Tilah Page and Ricky Morehouse III; father-in-law Harold E. Cooley Sr. and mothers-in-law, Ruth J., Mattie J. and Bertha I. Cooley.
