Trevor James Perrigo, 19, 1000 N. Walnut St., was charged 7 p.m. Thursday at 301 N. Vine St. on Union County warrants for third-degree sexual abuse and indecent exposure.
According to a Creston Police report, on Jan. 19, 2010, Perrigo and another male participated in a truth or dare game with two 13-year-old females and one 16-year-old male at 402 N. Poplar St. During the game, Perrigo exposed his genitals to the minors. Perrigo solicited/coerced the minors to perform acts that would require partial disrobing. These acts were done to satisfy the sexual desires of either party and were reported to have been offensive to the viewer. On Feb. 6, 2012, the mother of one of the 13-year-old females reported sexual assault. On Feb. 15, 2012, officers received evidence from the victim’s mother, which was sent to the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigations lab for DNA analysis. On April 5, officers were informed of the Iowa DCI lab results. On June 21, officers interviewed Perrigo as a suspect. During the post-Miranda interview, Perrigo admitted to having sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old female on Jan. 9, 2010, 402 N. Poplar St.
Perrigo is being held on $10,000 bond.
