NV boys fall
GREENFIELD — Pella Christian defeated Nodaway Valley, 5-3, in Class 1A boys substate soccer competition Monday.
Gage Zimmerline scored twice for the Wolverines. Dan Hessing had three of PC’s five goals.

Valley loses
STUART — The Nodaway Valley/West Central Valley/Adair-Casey girls fell to 12-2 for the season with a 4-2 loss to fifth-ranked Nevada Friday night.
“We had some breakdowns on defense that Nevada took advantage of,” said coach Michael Krawczyk said. “The girls never gave up and fought hard all game.”
The Valley girls host Harlan tonight.
