Gladys “Jo” Webb, 75, of Creston died Feb. 22, 2012, at Creston Nursing and Rehab Center.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at Powers Funeral Home, junction of highways 34 and 25. Burial will in Maple Hill Cemetery in Cromwell at a later date. The Rev. Dan Moore will officiate. Open visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Friday with family present 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given in her name. Gladys Irene “Jo” Quee, daughter of to Reka Louise (Zishka) and Henry Johonnas Quee, was born Dec. 21, 1936, in Spencer.

Jo graduated from Thayer High School in 1955 and studied at Commercial Extension College in Omaha, Neb., on a basketball scholarship.

Jo lived at Lake Manawa, Council Bluffs, and worked for Beebe and Runyan Furniture in Omaha, Neb.

In 1960, she moved to a farm west of Thayer, and then south of Afton in 1961.

Jo started working at Iowa State Savings Bank in 1961. She lived in Thayer and later moved to Cromwell.

On Oct. 21, 1971, Jo married Gale Clinton Webb in Orient.

She had two previous marriages.

They raised their family in Cromwell.

Jo retired from Iowa State Saving Bank in 2002, after 41 years.

They lived in Cromwell until Jo entered Creston Nursing and Rehab Center in April of 2011.

Jo was a member of Cromwell Congregational United Church of Christ.

Jo is survived by her husband Gale Webb of Creston; sons, Brian (wife Donna) Noecker of Creston, David (wife Gail) Webb of Denver, Colo., Brad (wife Becky) Baker of Creston and Mike Jones of Houston, Texas; daughters, Robbie (husband Roger) Tanner of Greenfield, Lori (husband Robert) Hepp of Cromwell, Melody (husband Steve) Miller of Creston and Carolyn (husband Pat) Gray of Prescott; son-in-law Bill (wife Anna) Whetzell of Creston; 22 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Jack (wife Mona) Quee of Afton and Gary (wife Connie) Quee of Creston and many other family and friends.

Jo was preceded in death by her parents; sister Jeanette (Quee) Mangiaruca and daughter Vickie Whetzell.
