Michael Connor, 52, of Blairstown, Mo., died Aug. 10, 2011, at Cass County Medical Center in Harrisonville, Mo.

Funeral Mass was held 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Holden, Mo. The Rev. Pete Savidge officiated. Williams Funeral Chapel of Holden, Mo., was in charge of arrangements.

Michael Connor, son of Julia B. (Riley) and Norbert E. Connor, was born Aug. 8, 1959, in Sparta, Wis.

At the age of 14, Mike moved with his family to Corning, where he graduated from high school in 1978.

Next, he received his bachelor’s of science degree in animal science from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Mo.

In 1983, Mike returned to Wisconsin, where he owned and operated a dairy farm near Elroy.

On Nov. 7, 1992, Mike married Kandi K. Pearsall in Hillsboro, Wis. The couple eventually moved to Missouri, settling in several towns prior to moving to their farm near Blairstown in 2000.

Mike was employed at Bayer Crop Science in Kansas City at the time of his death.

Mike is survived by his children, Travis Chapman of Baraboo, Wis., Joseph Connor and Jacob Connor, both of Warrensburg, Mo., and Stephanie Connor of Edmond, Okla.; grandson Truman Chapman; mother Julie (husband Duane) Schmidt of Creston; stepmother Mary Connor of Saint Joseph, Mo.; brothers and sisters, Stacy Connor Midkiff of Austin, Texas, Casey Connor and Julie of Owatonna, Minn., Patrick (wife Catherine) Connor of Lenexa, Kan., Kelly Lotz of Des Moines and Kathy Rapp of Overland Park, Kan.; many nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his father and infant brother Riley Jo Connor.
