Patricia A. “Pat” Johnson, 83, of Mount Ayr died April 30, 2011, at Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr.

Her body has been cremated and private graveside services will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Mount Ayr. Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr, is in charge of arrangements. Patricia A. “Pat” Johnson, daughter of Margaret Irene (Sampers) and William Christian Schott, was born Dec. 30, 1927, in Schaller.

Pat graduated from Schaller High School in 1945.

On Nov. 13, 1947, Pat married Andy Johnson at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Schaller.

They moved to Mount Ayr in 1960, when they purchased the local Chevrolet dealership. They lived in Mount Ayr with the exception of 10 years in Arizona.

Pat sold shoes at Dryer Shoe Store in Mount Ayr and later owned Hackers Paint Store in Mount Ayr.

Pat is survived by her children, Pam (husband Mac) Cross of Mount Ayr, Mark (wife Maria) Johnson of Bentonville, Ark., and Scott (wife Cindy) Johnson of Ankeny; grandchildren, Jody (husband David) Greene, Niky (husband Scott) Taylor, Lory (husband James) Stewart, Trace Johnson, Taylor (husband Devon) Ferriel, Alexis Johnson, Summer (husband Billy) Jones, Danyale (husband John) Boardman, Amanda (husband Kasey) McCurdy and Alana (husband Adam) Jackson; great-grandchildren, Ashlie, Shelbie, Myles and Jaxson Greene; Brittlyn, Duke, Taylor; Skylyr Stewart; Gabriel Ferriel; Quinn and Reece Boardman; Ty and Wynston Jones; and Cavin McCurdy; brother Lawrence Schott of Wisconsin; sister Helen Baker of Cherokee; brother-in-law Wally Johnson of Florida; and sister-in-law Phyllis Schott of Royal.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother Richard Schott; brother-in-law Ervel Baker; and sisters-in-law, June Eno and Frances Schott.
