Weis, Thomson plan June 19 
wedding

Ashley Weis and Jon Thomson, both of Creston, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

Weis is the daughter of Alan and Kelly Weis of Afton. Thomson is the son of Carter and Karen Thomson of Montezuma.

Weis graduated from East Union High School in 2001, Southwestern Community College in 2003 with an associate’s degree and Northwest Missouri State University in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is a fourth-grade teacher and coach for Creston Community School District.

Thomson graduated from Grinnell High School in 1996, Ellsworth Community College in 1998 with an associate’s degree and University of Northern Iowa in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in general arts and 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. He is a third-grade teacher and coach for Creston Community School District.

A June 19 wedding is planned.
