Corning men charged in incident 
involving nude photos of underage girls

CORNING — Court records show a former C & M of Massena teacher, a resident of Corning, allegedly convinced multiple underage girls to take off their clothes so he could photograph them.

Brent Michael Romer, 34, of Corning was charged with five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a Class C felony, three counts of sexual exploitation by a school employee, a Class D felony, and one count of third-degree sexual abuse, a Class C felony. He could face up to 75 years of imprisonment and multiple fines.

Also taken into custody was James Carl Wiechman, 49, also of Corning, who along with an underage male were also in these pictures.

Wiechman was charged with sexual exploitation of a minor, a class C felony, and could face up to 10 years imprisonment and fines.
