Schweser's to open Creston store

More women's clothing and fashion options are coming to Creston.

Schweser's Stores, a Midwest fashion and apparel company headquartered in Fremont, Nebraska, announced it will open a new store located in the old Maurice's building, 115 N. Maple St., in Creston the middle of March.

"We feel Creston is a good fit because of the size and strength of the community," said Julie Grimm, operation's manager for Schweser's Stores.

The background of the business dates back to 1880 when immigrant George Schweser opened the first general store in David City, Neb`. The company is still owned and managed by the same family and operates 30 stores in six states across the Midwest.
