Dale Trower, 93, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Mount Ayr and Kellerton, died Aug. 28, 2009, at Heritage Nursing and Rehab Center in Cedar Rapids.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1 at Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. The Rev. Terry Roberts will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Row Cemetery, Kellerton. Dale Trower, son of Effie May (McMullin) and George Harry Trower, was born May 8, 1916, in Kellerton.
On Oct. 26, 1940, Dale married Leola May Smith.
Dale was a farmer for 64 years between Kellerton and Grand River.
Dale is survived by his children, Jane (husband Tom) Sickels of Cedar Rapids, Ron (wife Cassandra) Trower of Punta Gordo, Fla., and Larry Trower of King City, Mo., nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and special friend Lucille Kremenak of Cedar Rapids.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, wife Leola Trower in 2004, two brothers and two sisters.
