Brett Duane George was cited for failure to provide proof of insurance, failure to have a a valid driver’s license while operating and a registration violation following an accident 2:25 a.m. Sunday on North Cherry Street.
According to a Union County Sheriff’s report, officers received a call that a vehicle was driving on its rims north of Creston on Cherry Street. When deputies arrived on scene, they noticed that a parked white Ford owned by Patrick Means was hit by a red Chevrolet driven by George as he drove north. George was also charged with operating while intoxicated, second offense.
Estimated damage was $3,000 to George’s vehicle and $3,000 to Means’ vehicle.
