According to a Creston Fire report, firefighters were dispatched for a boat on fire. Firefighters extinguished the boat and the boat, owned by Clint Young, was considered a total loss.

Creston firefighters were dispatched to a grill fire 5:27 p.m. June 20 at 1027 N. Mulberry St.

According to a Creston Fire report, firefighters were called for a barbecue grill fire in a screened porch. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered fire was put out by the home owners with a fire extinguisher. Firefighters investigated and found no extension of the fire.

According to a Creston Fire report, firefighters were dispatched to a small grass fire. Upon arrival, firefighters extinguished the fire and put out the hot spots.

According to a Creston Fire report, firefighters were dispatched for a fence on fire close to a house owned by Ray Fowler. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a deck with the sides on fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire.

Damage estimate was $1,000.

Creston firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire 10:44 p.m. Saturday at 805 W. Jefferson St.

According to a Creston Fire report, firefighters were dispatched to a house, owned by Chris Rehmeyer with a small fire on the back porch. Upon arrival, firefighters put the fire out.

Creston firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire 4:42 p.m. Sunday at 1820 205th St.

According to a Creston Fire report, firefighters were dispatched for a garage, owned by Jim Garrett on fire. Upon arrival firefighters found a lot of smoke, but the fire was out for the most part. Firefighters used water cans to extinguish the remaining fire. Garrett said he was charging his UTV and the battery caught fire.

Damage estimate was $7,000.

Creston firefighters were dispatched for a structure fire 8:03 p.m. Monday at 805 1/2 W. Jefferson St.

According to a Creston Fire report, firefighters were called for a house fire. Upon arrival nothing showed. Firefighters investigated and found charcoal on stairs in the house. Firefighters cooled the fire with a wet water extinguisher and removed all the hot coals.
