After six months of negotiations, Prairie Solid Waste Agency (PSWA) has accepted an agreement for changes at its Union County transfer station.

The PSWA board, minus representatives from Macksburg and Thayer, unanimously accepted an offer made by Transtor manufacturer VQuip in which the Burlington, Ontario, Canada-based company will remove the station’s three Transtors and accompanying hydraulic power system at no charge. In exchange for the equipment, VQuip will provide PSWA with $160,000.
