City faces sub-zero budget

Union County Secondary Roads Department is not alone when it comes to battling the winter weather. The city of Creston has seen its snow-removal budget fall into the red just a month and a-half into winter.

According to City Administrator Mike Taylor, $33,440 has been used on personnel and material costs associated with clearing Creston's streets this fiscal year — $3,440 more than was budgeted for.
