County expenses snowball

Union County Engineer Steve Akes may have given his weekly maintenance and activity update to Union County Board of Supervisors one day before Groundhog Day, but his reports are starting to read more like the script to the movie.

Again Monday, the supervisors accepted a report full of a week’s snow-removal details — something that is becoming a reoccurring theme this winter.
