'Senior Week' activities planned at Nodaway Valley and O-M

Nodaway Valley and Orient-Macksburg seniors will each hold commencement exercises Sunday, May 19.

Nodaway Valley’s graduation ceremony is scheduled for 1 p.m. in the high school gym, while Orient-Macksburg’s is at 2 p.m. in the school gym.

Nodaway Valley seniors will hold Decision Day Monday, May 13, where they’re invited to wear a shirt representing their plans after high school. Ice cream sundaes will be served for seniors over lunchtime. At 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 14 is Senior Awards Night, and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 15 is the baccalaureate service. The last official day for seniors is Thursday, May 16, which includes a senior breakfast and graduation walk-through.

Thursday, May 2 through Sunday, May 5, Orient-Macksburg seniors went on their senior trip to Chicago. Decision Day for O-M is 1:30-1:50 p.m. Wednesday, May 15. Awards Day is the same day from 1:30-3 p.m. Baccalaureate is that evening at the Orient United Methodist Church and the seniors’ last day is Friday, May 17.
