Accident No citations were issued after an accident 9:23 a.m. Wednesday on Warbler Avenue. According to a Union County Sheriff’s report, Dallas Dorrian, 25, of Grimes, was driving a 2015 Baybridge van south on Warbler Avenue while a 2013 Buick driven by Doreen Bowman, 80, of Thayer, was headed north. The vehicles met at the crest of a hill and side-swiped each other. Dorrian’s vehicle’s axle was broken but it stayed on the road while Bowman’s vehicle went into the east ditch. No major injuries were reported at the time of the accident. Estimated damage was $10,000 to Dorrian’s vehicle and $5,000 to Bowman’s vehicle.
