Creston freshman basketball picked up a win over Shenandoah Tuesday night, winning 56-34.
The Panthers were led in scoring by Patrick Varner, scoring 29 points on eight field goals. Ethan Crawford scored 11 points and Cade Wurster scored seven.
“Proud of the effort on both ends of the floor,” said coach Drew Dornack. “Was nice to be able to split with Shen since we lost to them earlier in the year.”

Creston beat CD Thursday night in a 29-25 “barn burner,” as Dornack described it.
Wurster scored four points and Crawford scored seven. Patrick Varner scored eight points.
“We held the lead for most of the game CD’s squad hit a three to put them up 22 to 21 late in the fourth,” said Dornack. “We had a timely lay-up and we hit just enough free throws to put it out of reach.”
