Mommies & Mules Christmas Vendor Market (Tonight)

Reflections Beauty is hosting the annual Mommies and Mules Christmas shopping event 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 2 at A&G Restaurant and Lounge. Attendees of this event will find gifts ranging from bath and beauty to home decor and more, many of which are made by area artisans.

Taste of Union County (Dec. 5)

EveryStep Home Care is hosting December’s Taste of Union County 4 to 7 p.m. Dec. 5.

Taste of Union County is occurring in conjunction with “There’s No Place Like Creston for the Holiday’s” and we will end right as the lighted parade begins. Java J’s will have free fudge samples and Jenny’s Cakes will be offering samples of festive holiday treats from their bakery. Local businesses in the uptown district will also be participating with discounts you can only receive by stopping in to see us first! You will also receive free vouchers to use throughout this holiday season, as you shop Creston and shop local.

Meet and greet with CCSD superintendent Deron Stender for updates at Creston schools 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Dec. 5 at Hardys, 807 W. Taylor St.

Creston’s Lighted Christmas Parade (Dec. 5)

“There’s No Place Like Creston for the Holidays” Lighted Christmas Parade will take place 7 p.m. Dec. 5 at 7 pm. The parade begins at the corner of Pine and Mill streets, then turns south at Elm Street to Montgomery Street. The parade then turns west until Division Street to Adams Street and ends at Walnut Street.

Festival of Trees (Dec. 5)

American Home Design Center is hosting its Festival of Trees silent auction 9 a.m. Dec. 5 until the commencement of the Lighted Christmas Parade. Decorated trees, donated by area business and individual sponsors, will go to the highest bidder during a silent auction. All proceeds go to the Crisis Intervention and Advocacy Center. Southwestern Community College Athletic Fundraiser (Dec. 6)

The annual SWCC Athletic Fundraiser is 6 to 10 p.m. Dec. 6 at Supertel, 800 Laurel St. Refreshments and appetizers start at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. and a program at 7:45 p.m. Auction and raffle to follow.
