Treva Eileen Taylor, 93, of Fontanelle died Nov. 19, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Society in Fontanelle.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Bryant Cemetery in Fontanelle with Pastor Steven Broers officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Fontanelle United Methodist Church. Open visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Steen Funeral Home in Fontanelle with family present 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be left to the Treva Taylor memorial fund to be established at a later date. Treva Eileen Taylor, daughter of Gifford and Grace (Hyde) Seley was born Nov. 30, 1925 to in Adair County.

Treva attended Richland School. After graduating high school, Treva worked for the phone company in Omaha, Nebraska.

Treva married Keith Taylor and worked with him on their farm. In 1961, they purchased the DX gas station followed by the Fontanelle Cafe. Both were sold in 1966 and they worked on the farm, trucking and other business endeavors. In 1990, they retired from the farm and moved to Fontanelle.

Treva was preceded in death by her father Gifford Seley, mother Grace Seley; husband Keith Taylor; siblings: Wilbur Seley of Greenfield, Elvin (Buck) Seley of Fontanelle, Darrell Seley of Des Moines, Jennie Martin of State Center, Alta Kordick of Des Moines and many nieces and nephews.

Treva is survived by her children: Roger (Nancy) Taylor and of Overland Park, Kansas, and Patty Taylor of Red Oak; grandchildren: Amy (Kent) Kessler and Bob (Tara) Taylor; step-grandchild Amber (Guy) Rish; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; other relatives and friends.
