In collaboration with the Creston Community School District, the Creston Area Food Pantry Inc. inprovides some food for the weekends to students. This project agreement is known as “Creston Foodshelf.” Students may pick up a bag on the last day of school each week and take it home. A couple of businesses have graciously donated the cloth/mesh bags for the food products to be transported home by the youth; however more bags are needed. These bags may have a company logo or the logo of a product and may be in any quantity. All are needed and greatly appreciated.
The pantry has chosen to use these types of bags for their user-friendly appearance, thus avoiding any stigma a child might experience in picking up a needed supply of food for the weekend. Also, the bags are more durable than the typical plastic grocery sacks.
