Alice (Rinner) Dillenburg, 83, of Creston died Oct. 2, 2019, at Greater Regional Hospice House in Creston.
A celebration of life service will be held 1 p.m. Oct. 5 at Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., in Mount Ayr. Pastor Bill Armstrong will officiate. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Mount Ayr. Visitation will be held Oct. 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials are to the family to be designated later. Alice (Rinner) Dillenburg, daughter of Lawrence and Nellie (McMillion) Rinner, was born Aug. 14, 1936, in Ellston. She graduated from Ellston High School in 1954.
Alice married Marvin Dillenburg December 6, 1956.
Alice worked as a cook at several places in Mount Ayr including the Shamrock Cafe, Small’s Coral, and the Meal Site. She was a member of Wishard Chapel Community Church.
Alice (Rinner) Dillenburg is survived by her daughter Theresa Dillenburg of Creston; brothers: Ronald (Laurel) Rinner of Yale, George Rinner of Winterset and Charles (Ellen) Rinner of Creston; sister Juanita (George) Spencer of Creston and brother-in-law Bill Thompson of Bennett, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Fred Rinner, sisters Mary Etta Dillenburg and Jeanne Thompson.
