Kevin Harden, 24, 613 W. Mills St., was charged with fifth degree theft 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Walmart, 806 Laurel St.

Harden was released from Union County Jail on $300 bond.

Walter Hall Jr., 46, 300 N. Maple St., was charged with second offense domestic abuse assault 1:27 a.m. Sunday at his residence.

According to a Creston Police report, Hall reportedly arrived to his apartment complex intoxicated after being at “That Bar.” At the apartment building, he kicked in the front door to the building and kicked in the door to his own apartment, where he threatened his roommate if they were to call the police. A neighbor reported that Hall also tried kicking in their door. Officers knocked on Hall’s door several times before the door opened. Once the door opened, Hall “ran off” into the apartment then came back to the door. Law enforcement observed Hall to be heavily intoxicated. Hall admitted to kicking in the front door, but not the apartment door. Inside the apartment, officers observed a chain lock for the door and door decor laying on the floor in the kitchen.

Hall was released from Union County Jail on $600 bond.

Hall was later charged with violation of a protective order 12:07 p.m. Sunday on the 300 block of North Division Street.

Hall was being held in the Union County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.

Brett Brammer, 26, 211 3rd St. in Murray was charged with possession of paraphernalia during a traffic stop 7:01 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Highway 25 and Russell Street.

According to a Creston Police report, an officer parked at McKinley Lake observed a vehicle with a non-working third brake light and plate lamp. While discussing the stop with Brammer, Brammer’s story and the passenger of Brammer’s vehicle did not line up. Due to the driver’s behavior and the stories not lining up, K9 Jax was deployed. While Jax was working around the vehicle, Brammer muttered and stated he was dizzy, passed out and fell beside the officer’s vehicle. As the officer assisted him, Brammer admitted ot having marijuana in the vehicle. K9 Jax also gave behavior change to the vehicle giving officers probable cause to search the vehicle. Inside the vehicle, a pipe was located.

Brammer was released from the Union County Jail on $300 bond.

Shawn Shimer, 25, 105 NE Park St. in Greenfield, was charged with possession of paraphernalia during a traffic stop 7:01 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Highway 25 and Russell Street.

Shimer was released from the Union County Jail on $300 bond.
