Jessica Shadley, 32, 700 S. Vine St., was charged with driving while suspended 10:25 a.m. Friday on the 700 block of North Birch Street.

Shadley was released from Union County Jail on $300 bond.

Robin Hoskins, 44, of Afton was charged with first offense operating while under the influence 1 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of West Adams and North Pine streets.

According to a Creston Police report Hoskins was operating a vehicle without its headlights on. During a traffic stop, she showed signs of intoxication and refused a field sobriety test. Hoskins consented to a preliminary breath test, which showed a result “well above” .08. Hoskins later consented to the DataMaster test, which showed a result of .127.

Hoskins was released from the Union County Jail on $1,000 bond.

Gregory Welcher, 21, of Thayer, was charged on an Adam County warrant for failure to appear 5:11 p.m. Sunday on the 200 block of South Elm Street.

Welcher was released from Union County Jail on $2,000 bond.

Anita Michael, 48, of Des Moines was charged on three Union County warrants with failure to appear on the original charges of driving while suspended, simple assault and second offense possession of a controlled substance/first offense operating while intoxicated 10:17 p.m. Sunday at the Union County Law Enforcement Center.

Michael was being held in the Adams County Jail on $5,600 bond.

Midred Goble, 610 N. Cherry St., reported a Troy Built self-propelled lawn mower was taken early Sunday morning from the yard of her residence.

Estimated loss was $500.

Brenda Myers, 604 S. Poplar St., reported that a vehicle parked at her residence had its rear window broken out sometime between 9 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday.

Estimated damage was $300.
