Kiwanis
The weekly Kiwanis meeting was held 12:05 p.m. Sept. 3, at the Pizza Ranch meeting room with 23 members and one guest. President Terry Freeman presided, Kyle Wilson did the prayer and Joe Powers was the finemaster.
Members now have pork chop tickets and signed up at the meeting to work the fundraiser. The pork chop dinner is being held Sept. 19 from 4:30 to 7p.m. at McKinley Park. Take out and drive up will be available. Get your tickets from any Kiwanis member in advance for $8 the night of the event the price is $10.
The club has purchased and will be putting up signs at McKinley park and the ECC of Creston schools warning people to drive carefully with children in the area.
Program was Mike Moffitt owner of Cornerstone Financial Group. He discussed the stock markets recent history and trends. He also discussed the items that dictate how the markets respond to consumer spending, unemployment and business profits.

Ladies Lakeshore Auxiliary
The Ladies Lakeshore Auxiliary met on Sept. 4.
Canasta winners were Janice Munsterman first place, Cheri Lilly, second and Penni Nauman, third.
Winner of the door prize was Carolyn Skarda. The next meeting for cards and chatter will be Sept. 11 and the hostess will be Joy Seeley.
