Ann Paxton, 80, of Creston, died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2019, at Creston Specialty Care in Creston.
A celebration of life service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Powers Funeral Home, 601 New York Avenue in Creston. Father Adam Westphal will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Creston. Geraldine Ann Paxton was born on July 22, 1939, in Maryville, Missouri, daughter to Robert Leo Myers and Isabelle (Franklin) Myers.
Ann attended St. Malachy School through the 8th grade then graduated from Creston High School with the class of 1958.
On Sept. 1, 1958, Ann married Audrey Dean Paxton in Creston. They first settled in Greenfield where Ann was a homemaker. In 1979, they moved to Creston where she continued as a homemaker.Ann was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Creston.
Ann is survived by her husband Audrey Paxton, Creston; daughters: Dee (Ross) Fulgsang, Sioux City; Donna (Decker) Boden, Murray; Debbie (Tony) Cavender, Ames; sons: Mike (Annette) Paxton, Creston; Terry (Annette) Paxton, Olathe, Kansas; grandchildren: Kelly Fulgsang, Holly (Kyle) Meachum, Andrew (Hilary) Boden and Daniel Boden, Hunter and Fisher Decker, Paige, Jacob and Matthew Paxton, and Tia and Kori Cavender; five great-grandchildren; and a sister Mary Myers of Council Bluffs.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents.
