‘It must start with us’

I was born and raised in Creston. I now live in Dallas, Texas. We were just home this past week. I was reading the News Advertiser and read the Letter To The Editor. Since it is a free country, I felt I could write my opinion.

I feel that the hatred that has been put on our president since he was in office has stopped so many things from moving forward. It is funny that I read the same things that y’all read and I never have felt that he was full of hatred. I see in his personal life a loving husband, father and grandfather! He has done so many things right.

I think one of the things that he has done since being in office was to get us back into good graces with Israel! If we want to get God back into our country, this was a very smart move.

We are all free to vote in our country and the voters spoke when we all elected President Trump. Not every person is going to like every president that is voted into office, but to show them respect is something that we all need to learn. President Trump backs the police officers and our military, and this is something that has not been done in the past eight years.

Let’s all put our hatred aside and pray for President Trump and all the people that are helping him. I feel that if you want to judge him and spew your hatred, how can you do that and then write about him being full of hate. Kind of the “pot calling the kettle black.” Don’t you think?

I just wanted to say, if we want the hatred to stop, then it must start with us!
