As of Tuesday, Jim Pinto has been named interim CEO of Wellman Dynamics Corporation in Creston.
When asked if former CEO Jim Mahoney was released or resigned, Pinto said he could only confirm that Mahoney was no longer with the company. While he was unsure of the length of Mahoney’s tenure with the organization, Pinto said Mahoney had been with Wellmans for approximately three years.
Pinto served as an operating partner with the private equity firm that purchased Wellman Dynamics. Wellman Dynamics Corporation – an aerospace supplier known for manufacturing large scale, complex magnesium and aluminum castings for the defense and commercial aerospace markets and other industrial segments – was acquired by Trive Capital, a Dallas-based private equity firm in May 2018.
