Reynolds appoints District Court Judges

DES MOINES– Governor Kim Reynolds today announced her appointment of Elisabeth Reynoldson as a district court judge in Judicial Election District 5B.

Reynoldson, of Osceola, Iowa, practices law with Reynoldson & Van Werden, L.L.P. in Osceola. She previously served as an assistant attorney general in the Criminal Appeals Division of the Iowa Attorney General’s Office, as the Clarke County Attorney in Osceola, and as a part-time magistrate judge in Clarke County.

Reynoldson received her undergraduate degree from Iowa State University and her law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law.

Judicial Election District 5B includes Adair, Adams, Clarke, Decatur, Lucas, Ringgold, Taylor, Union, and Wayne counties.

Nelmark

Reynolds also announced her appointment of David Nelmark as a district court judge in Judicial Election District 5C.

Nelmark, of Urbandale, Iowa, currently practices law with Gislason & Hunter LLP in Des Moines. He previously practiced with Belin McCormick, PC in Des Moines and served as a judicial law clerk for Judge Michael J. Melloy on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

Nelmark received his undergraduate degrees from Drake University and his law degree from Stanford Law School.

Judicial Election District 5C includes Polk County.
