Athlete of the Week: Spring Week One

The first spring sports South Central Iowa Athlete of the Week polls have been conducted with four winners. (April 1 - April 6).

Polls were conducted on the Twitter profile of CNA/OST/FO/ACFP sports editor Carter Eckl (@CarterEckl) and on esurveypro.com. Final percentages are determined by the total votes in both polls.

Boys track and field – Caleb Comstock – Sophomore – East Union

In home meet: Seventh in the 100 meter dash; sixth in the 200 meter dash; third in the 4x200; fifth in the 4x100 meter relay. In Clarke meet: Third in 100 meters, second in 200.

Girls track and field – Lexie Haer – Senior – Southwest Valley

In two meets: Two-time first place finisher in discus; second and fourth in sprint medley; third and fourth in the 4x100; third in the 4x400; sixth in the 4x200. Helped SWV win team title at Red Oak.
