Adams County Sheriff

Angela Meese, 38, of Bedford was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia 10:40 a.m. Thursday.

According to an Adams County Sheriff report, a deputy pulled a vehicle over near the intersection of 240th Street and Highway 148 for no license plate. After informing the driver of the reason they were pulled over, the deputy said they were free to go, but asked if he could search the vehicle first. The driver consented to the search. Meese, a passenger in the vehicle got out and handed the deputy a black case with a marijuana grinder, marijuana pipe and tools to clean the pipe. The case also held a clear container with marijuana inside.

Meese was being held on $1,000 bond.

Taryn Joshua Thomas, 28, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was charged with open container, speeding, possession of a controlled substance, child endangerment, failure to secure a child and carrying weapons 11 p.m. Saturday on Highway 34.

According to an Adams County Sheriff report, Thomas was pulled over for driving 108 mph in a 55 mph zone. The K9 unit alerted to the presence of narcotics and a bag with methamphetamine was located along with a knife with a blade longer than 5 inches and open containers of alcohol.

Sina Winyan Crowe, 32, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, open container, child endangerment and bringing contraband into a correctional facility 11 p.m. Saturday on Highway 34.

According to an Adams County Sheriff report, Crowe was the passenger in a vehicle that had been pulled over for speeding. A K9 unit alerted to the presence of narcotics and a bag with methamphetamine was located along with a knife with a blade longer than 5 inches and open containers of alcohol. While Crowe was at the jail, a small bag containing marijuana that had fallen out of Crowe’s underwear was discovered.
