Garrett McClain Walhovd, 18, of Adair was charged with sale of a controlled substance to a minor 8:14 p.m. Feb. 13 on Interstate 80.
According to an Adair County Sheriff report, Walhovd and a 15-year-old juvenile were smoking marijuana while driving west on Interstate 80. The juvenile said Walhovd had purchased the marijuana in Des Moines. The juvenile said he/she did not provide money for the marijuana and that Walhovd provided the marijuana for him/her.
Walhovd was released on 10 percent of a $5,000 bond.
