Judy Rafter, 79, of Greenfield died Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Greenfield Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, at United Methodist Church in Greenfield with burial in Fontanelle Cemetery. A luncheon was held at the church following the committal services. The Rev. Eric Schubert officiated the service. Open visitation was from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, at Steen Funeral Home, 101 SE Fourth St., in Greenfield with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials are to the Judy Rafter memorial fund to be determined. Judy Ann Rafter, daughter of Frank Nelson and Etha Marie (Henry) Paschall, was born July 3, 1939, in Osceola. Judy graduated from Osceola High School in 1957. She worked at Bell Telephone Company in Des Moines for a few years.
On April 28, 1962, she married Randall Rafter in the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Judy worked at Greenfield Manor for 10 years in the kitchen.
She was a member of Greenfield United Methodist Church.
Judy is survived by her husband Randall Rafter of Greenfield; son Kevin (Jami) Rafter of Stuart; daughter Ranee Rafter of Greenfield; grandchildren, Ben Rafter, Josh Rafter, Tyler Rafter, Matthew Clark and Karl Rafter; other relatives and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents.
