CLEARFIELD – Current post-secondary students and high school seniors are invited to apply for one of two new scholarship opportunities from the Clearfield Lions Club in Clearfield. Students applying for a Clearfield Lions Club Scholarship must plan on attending a college, university or vocational school during the fall 2019 semester and will graduate or have graduated from a high school in Taylor, Ringgold, Adams or Union counties.
Applicants will be asked to respond to four essay questions in which they must be able to show significant involvement in their community through service or leadership projects. Funds will be mailed directly to the school/university at the beginning of the fall 2019 semester. Award winners will be notified of their status by May 15.
All physical copies of the scholarship must be postmarked by April 15 to be considered. If an applicant wishes to submit a digital copy of their scholarship, they must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. April 15. Application forms are available through the student’s high school guidance counselor office or Clearfield Lions Club Scholarship Committee Chair Celine Beggs by emailing cbeggs2013@gmail.com.
