4-H news

Lincoln United 4-H Club held a regular meeting Dec. 17 at Greater Regional Health. There was five 4-H members and four Clover Kids present, as well as both leaders.

President Briley Dunning called the meeting to order. Caydance Weise led the Pledge of Allegiance and Candace Zollman led the 4-H pledge. Roll call for December was what you wanted for Christmas.

At the meeting, club leader Lacy Sheil installed new officers with a reading passage and a candy bar relating to their roles. The club discussed ideas for a community service project and will decide on one at a later date. There were five ideas given for a community service project to vote on.

Refreshments were provided by the Dunning and Sheil families. Money from the read-a-thon fundraiser was collected at the December meeting. The Clover Kids did a snowflake activity with toothpicks, marshmallows and coffee filters.

The next meeting will be 6 p.m. Jan. 21 at Greater Regional Health. Dunning will bring refreshments as well as give a demonstration.
