Warren Logan Davis, 36, of Earlham was charge with carrying a weapon and driving under suspension 4:25 p.m. Jan. 13.

According to an Adair County Sheriff report, a deputy was detaining Davis for driving under suspension and when Davis stepped out of his vehicle, the deputy observed a knife with a blade exceeding 8 inches between the driver’s seat and door frame of the vehicle. Davis said the knife belonged to him and he knew it was there.

Davis was released on $2,000 bond.

Aaron John Irving, 18, of Bagley was charged with possession of marijuana 8:30 p.m. Jan. 15.

According to an Adair County Sheriff report, a deputy initiated a traffic stop after a vehicle was seen traveling on South Division Street without its lights on. Upon approaching the vehicle, the deputy smelled the strong odor of marijuana. Irving was identified as the driver of the vehicle and when asked, he told the deputy he had marijuana in the vehicle.

Irving was cited and released at the scene.

Cody Allen Vanotterloo, 22, of Des Moines was charged with fifth-degree theft and operating a vehicle without the owners consent 9:10 p.m. Jan. 15.

According to an Adair County Sheriff report, Vanotterloo borrowed the victim’s vehicle and did not return it for several days. While he was in possession of the vehicle, Vanotterloo sold or disposed of two new tires which belonged to the victim.

Vanotterloo was released on $2,000 bond.

Chiquita Cheketa Kelly, 26, of Stuart was charged on an outside warrant for second-degree burglary and assault with intention to inflict serious injury 4:25 p.m. Jan. 16.

Kelly was transferred Delaware County custody.
