No citations were issued after an accident 6:51 p.m. Friday on High and Dry Road.

According to a Union County Sheriff report, Mindy Jo Roemer, 38, of Mount Ayr was driving a 2004 GMC south on High and Dry Road when she lost control and went into the ditch on the east side of the road

Estimated damages were $500 to Roemer’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 8:14 p.m. Friday at the intersection of East Montgomery and North Cherry streets.

According to a Creston Police report, Mohamadu Lifong Adamu, 41, of Ottumwa was driving a 2015 Toyota south on North Cherry Street and Brett Lee Weis, 46, of Afton was driving a 2016 Dodge — a Greater Regional Health ambulance — east on East Montgomery Street. Adamu attempted to navigate the turn onto East Montgomery Street and struck the ambulance.

Estimated damages were $2,000 to Adamu’s vehicle and $6,000 to the Great Regional Health ambulance.

No citations were issued after an accident 10:21 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of East Mills and North Cedar streets.

According to a Union County Sheriff report, Kyle James Krantz, 41, of Creston was driving a 1994 Ford dump truck east on East Mills Street and lost traction on the ice-covered street, causing him to slide through the intersection and get broad sided by a 2001 Chevrolet driven by Pamela Sue McKee, 60, of Creston.

Estimated damages were $2,500 to Krantz’s vehicle and $3,500 to McKee’s vehicle.

Meredith Ann Selvy, 71, of Creston was cited for driving on the wrong side of the street after an accident 7:43 p.m. Sunday on South Sumner Avenue.

According to a Creston Police report, John Paul Porkorny, 38, of Creston was traveling south on South Sumner Avenue in a 2013 Ford when he was struck head on by a 1999 Buick driven by Selvy after she crossed the center line while traveling north because her view was obstructed by frost on her windshield.

Estimated damages were $2,000 to each vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 1:11 p.m. Monday on West Mills Street.

According to a Creston Police report, Robert Eugene Hague, 53, of Creston, driving a 2013 Chevrolet, was backing out of a driveway on West Mills Street and Thomas John Steinbach, 20, of Creston was driving a 2004 Ford east on West Mills Street. Hague did not see Steinbach because a large maple tree obstructed his view and Steinbach did not have time to stop and avoid the collision.

Estimated damages were $600 to Hague’s vehicle and $3,000 to Steinbach’s vehicle.
