Charlene F. Lee, 59, a resident of Trenton, Missouri, died early Tuesday morning, Dec. 11, 2018, at her residence.

The body was cremated under the direction of Slater Funeral Home, 412 E. Ninth St., in Trenton, Missouri. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at Kellerton Family Worship Center in Kellerton.

Mrs. Lee was born July 2, 1959, in Portland, Oregon, the daughter of William Junior and Jessie B. Akers Richman. She attended Grand Valley High School in Kellerton, and later, went on to graduate from Southwestern Community College in Creston with a Registered Nursing degree.

At the time of her death, she was employed at Morning Side Center in Chillicothe, Missouri. Her career path included Creston Nursing and Rehab Center, Greater Regional Medical Center, Creston Home Health, Greenfield Hospital, Nurses on Call, hospice services, Fluer Heights Care Center, Sunnyview, Eastview and ending her career at Morning Side. She had a heart of gold and touched everyone’s lives that she came in contact with. Her grandchildren were the center of her universe and she made a huge impact on them all, including all adopted families, which were many.

She was a member of Family Worship Center in Kellerton.

On Sept. 17, 1977, she was married to Patrick E. Monaghan at the Methodist Church in Kellerton. On Oct. 31, 2008, her first husband Patrick passed away.

Then on Oct. 16, 2010, she was married to Willis R. Lee at Assembly of God Church in Kellerton surrounded by their family and friends.

Her survivors include her husband Willis; two daughters, Nicole Carney (Ron) of Des Moines and Jamie Holmes (Chad) of Kellerton; two stepsons, Jeremy Lee (Breanna) of Knoxville and Justin Lee (Sarah) of Meadville, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Tristan, Darrian, Kaidan Holmes, Morgan (Carney), Shealyn, Scout, Rhianna and Chaddlan Supinger; seven step-grandchildren, Preston, Blake, Abby, Landon, Kimber, Dominic and Connor Lee; five sisters, Jeri Fitzgerald (John) of Elma, Marlene Tull (Dale) of Mount Ayr, Arlene Worthington (Bob) of Mount Ayr, Melinda Richman and Carolyn Holton, both of Osceola; two brothers, Gene Richman (Karen) of Grundy Center and David W. Richman (Pauline) of Creston; one sister-in-law Katie Still (Ronche) of Mount Ayr and one brother-in-law Mike Monaghan of Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Patrick E Monaghan; parents, Bill and Jesse Richman; one sister Cheryl Curtis; her mother- and father-in-law, Ruth and Robert Monaghan; and two brothers-in-law, Casey and Kelly Monaghan.
