As I sit and think about the 20 years I served on the city council for the ward 4, my heart hurts because this ward is the largest in the city and surely someone cares enough to submit a letter of interest.
Yes, you must have strong dedication, loyalty and be giving to be a member. There are rough days and good days. There are days you do nothing right, and someone thinks you voted wrong. Being a council member is not a walk in the park ... you have to follow city, state and federal rules.
My love for Creston made me continue to run for city council, and not once did anyone run against me. I guess my strong thoughts on things, and the fact I wasn’t afraid to speak my mind, might of stopped people. I don’t know ... but please, think hard about it. Ward 4 needs a strong dedicated person to represent them.
My heart broke the night I resigned, and I still think of Creston each day ... I miss all of you. Please, someone step in my shoes and do the right thing for this city.
