Deloris Ansley, 82, of Osceola died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, at Clarke County Hospital in Osceola.

Celebration of life memorial gathering will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 8, at Osceola Golf and Country Club in Osceola. Private family burial will be at a later date. Deloris Mae Ansley, daughter of Viola Grace (Howe) and George Woodrow Watkins, was born Aug. 12, 1936, in Osceola. She graduated from Woodburn High School in Woodburn in 1955.

On Sept. 16, 1956, Deloris married Oliver Morris Ansley in Woodburn. They settled in Peru, Indiana, where she worked as a homemaker prior to moving in 1957 to Clovis, New Mexico, where she worked as a homemaker and active mother.

They returned to Iowa, living in Osceola, Des Moines and Sergeant Bluff for six years. They later moved to the Lakewood and Norwalk areas, where she began working as a CNA. In 1974, they returned to the Murray area. She worked as a production worker for Furnace and Siemens, until she retired in 1998. They later moved to Osceola in 2012.

Deloris was a member of Murray Church of Christ and also volunteered for Murray Little League.

Deloris is survived by her husband Oliver of Osceola; daughters, Teressa (Andy) Pontier of Osceola and Cheryl (Jerry) Loy of Murray; son David (Kim) Ansley of Murray; brother Ronald Watkins of Osceola; sister Marcella Green of Osceola; grandchildren, Michael (Julie) Showers of Osceola, Eric (Danielle) Showers of Van Wert, Tonia (Kevin) Rowdybush of Osceola, Nathan Pontier and Dustin (Veronica) Pontier, all of Greenville, Texas, Casey Pontier of Osceola, Jodeena (Trevor) Robins of Murray, Zachery (Cecilia) Loy of Murray, Kelsey Ansley of Indianola and Ashlynn (Danial) Davis of Osceola; 19 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Esther Whitehair of Crownsville, Maryland, and Shirley Ansley of Orange, California; and niece Cathy Whited of Creston.

Deloris was preceded in death by her parents; son Donald Ansley in 2017; sisters-in-law, Harriet Watkins and Mary Ellen Reeves; brothers-in-law, Howard Whitehair and Emerson Ansley and niece Louise Reeves.
