Mary Adelaide Christensen

Mountain Home, Ark.

“Addie” Mary Adelaide Christensen, has passed from injuries which occurred during a fall while on an outing. Addie passed away Nov. 23, 2018, at the age of 83 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

After retiring, Addie moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas, with her life partner John Geis. Addie is survived by son, David Christensen and his wife Melinda of Mountain Home, Arkansas. Granddaughters are Jennifer Utterback Bird, husband Doug, and great-grandson Hunter of Des Moines and Dustie Brown Pottorff, husband Allen, great-grandson Hayden and great-granddaughter Callie of Urbandale.

She is predeceased by her father Earl Floyd and mother Goldie Spainhower, brother Bob Floyd, infant son Dennis, daughter Judy Christensen Brown and son Chris Christensen.

Addie was born Feb. 15, 1935, in Creston. She was a 1953 Creston High School graduate. She always enjoyed her class reunions. Addie was a lifelong member of First Christian Church of Creston. She was employed at Iowa Southern Utilities in sales before retiring.

Addie’s cremated remains will return to Creston. A graveside service will be held at a later time at Graceland Cemetery in Creston. Online condolences may be left at www.conner-hankinsfuneralhome.com.
