Steven Mathew Behlers, 29, 404 N. Oak St., was charged on a Union Count warrant for third-offense theft 3:35 p.m. Wednesday at 209 E. Mills St.
According to a Creston Police report, on Nov. 7 Behlers took a donation jar from Fareway and hid it in his coat before exiting the store.
Behlers was being held on $2,000 bond.

Jonathan Dakotah Davor Vert, 26, 701 W. Jefferson St. Apt. 1, was charged for domestic assault 2:52 a.m. today at his residence.
According to a Creston Police report, Vert assaulted the victim by pushing her against a wall and putting his hands around her neck.
Vert was being held without bond until seen by a judge.
