Jeffery John Lusk, 30, 303 W. Adams St., was charged with second-degree criminal mischief 6:40 p.m. Oct. 9 at 211 N. Pine St.

According to a Creston Police report, Lusk had taken clothes from an individual and poured bleach on them causing $1,500 worth of damage.

Lusk was being held on $5,000 bond.

David Jeorge Downey, 28, of Afton, was charged with second-offense OWI 1:49 a.m. today on the 100 block of South Elm Street.

According to a Creston Police report, a call was received of a male passed out on the north side of the railroad tracks inside a Jaguar. When officers arrived, the vehicle was sitting in the roadway and when they knocked on the window, the driver, identified as Downey, woke up. While speaking with officers, Downey showed symptoms of intoxication. He said he had been drinking at the Elms Club and refused a field sobriety test.

Downing was released on $2,000 bond.
